Hospital or clinic?

The clinic listing suits a single site with a defined range of services — a specialist practice, day-care centre or consulting clinic. The hospital listing suits a multi-department institution, and accommodates a wider service description, facilities relevant to referral such as catheterisation laboratory, intensive care and imaging, and a larger number of affiliated consultants. Groups operating several sites should contact us before registering so the listing is configured once rather than duplicated.

What the registration asks for

You will be asked for the institution’s registered name and address, the specialties and services offered, on-site diagnostic and treatment facilities, consulting hours, a public contact route, and the consultants to be associated with the profile. Nominating a single administrative contact at this stage makes later amendments considerably faster.

Verification, invoicing and amendment

Institutional details are checked before publication, and an invoice is issued for the institution’s accounting records; purchase orders can be accommodated. The listing runs for a defined term with notice before expiry, and can be amended at any point during the term as departments, services or staff change. Correction or withdrawal of any published detail is actioned on request through the contact page.

What an institutional listing does not do

An institutional listing is a verified directory profile. It is not an accreditation, an inspection, a quality rating or an endorsement of clinical outcomes, and it does not rank institutions against one another. What it confirms is that the institution exists as described, offers the services listed, and is associated with the clinicians named. That is the claim being made, and it is deliberately a narrow one.
